Berkeley, California/berkeley434Previous | Home | NextOn page 173 of 2003 Guinness World Records is an entry on Ghiorso (bottom of second column). Ghiorso is credited with co-discovering more elements than any other person: americium, curium, berkelium, californium, einsteinium, fermium, mendelevium, nobelium, lawrencium, rutherfordium, dubnium, seaborgium (atomic numbers 95-106, respectively). Seaborg shares credit with the first ten of these; later responsibilities on the national scene took him away from Berkeley later in life. See next photo for expansion.
